Decanter
ca. 1892-1893
Christopher Dresser
After a period of militant Japonism, Christopher Dresser reserved his most radical inventions for metal, the emblematic material of Victorian Britain, which enabled him to adapt an abstract and unprecedentedly austere aesthetic to industrial production. This decanter is among the finest examples.
