Suspension Lamp
1905
Koloman Moser
The wardrobe of wood coated with white lacquer and the light fitting created by the Austrian designer Koloman Moser (1868–1918) in the collection of Louvre Abu Dhabi are two of the most important elements of the furnishings in the Wittgenstein-Stonborough apartment in Berlin. The light fitting, a miracle of elegance, is suggestive of Byzantine crowns and the vamps of the stage in the Belle Époque, as well as the nascent art of cinema.
