Sutra de l’Éveil parfait

Ce manuscrit en accordéon, peint à l’or sur papier indigo est une version du Sutra de l’Éveil parfait, un texte bouddhique dont la traduction en chinois, attribuée au moine indien Buddhatrata, date de la dynastie des Tang (618-907). Ce sutra considéré comme un apocryphe est en particulier connu pour son influence majeure sur le bouddhisme Zen. Le texte en douze chapitres se concentre sur la prédication du Bouddha de la loi miraculeuse de l’illumination parfaite en direction de Manjusri et de onze autres bodhisattvas.
