Watch the online curators’ talk led by Hélène Delalex and Bertrand Rondot. The two curators invite you for an immersion within the dazzling 17th and 18th century court of Versailles. You will discover how the palace became a unique meeting place of knowledge and art for different civilisations.
They will take you through the cultural connections between the East and West while introducing and explaining the key masterpieces in the exhibition.
The two curators will also explore the impact of many encounters leading to discoveries that changed the contemporary understanding of the world.

Who are the curators?

Hélène Delalex and Bertrand Rondot are respectively Curator and Head Curator of Furniture and Decorative Arts at the Musée national des châteaux de Versailles et de Trianon. They have curated numerous important exhibitions at Versailles and abroad. Both passionate about Versailles and decorative art, they have published numerous books on the subject.
