About the Artwork

Paul Klee is a German-Swiss artist. His work shows his personal experiences, moods, and humour.
Klee was inspired by Arabic and Chinese sacred texts. The black lines were influenced by Egyptian hieroglyphs.
The grid of coloured squares and rectangles resembles a carpet or a mosaic pattern reflecting his unforgettable visit to Tunisia.
