Is the museum safe to visit?
Louvre Abu Dhabi is a mindful museum and the safety and well-being of our visitors and staff is of paramount importance to us. We are taking care to implement the necessary measures in line with government guidelines. These measures include wearing masks indoors at all times, thermal screening for all staff and visitors, and regular deep cleaning and sanitisation of all public spaces. Please see below for the full list of health and safety measures.

Do I need a PCR test or need to be vaccinated to visit the museum?
In line with government guidelines, all visitors must show a ‘Green’ status on the Alhosn app to enter the museum (14 days PCR required when fully vaccinated, 48hr when unvaccinated)

For visitors coming from abroad, we accept printed vaccine certificates for tourists who meet below requirements:
1. Are fully vaccinated
2. Can show proof of vaccination certificate from their home country
3. Vaccine is not reflecting in ALHOSN, or facing technical issues with AlHOSN

What measures have been put in place to allow us to visit safely?
A strict cleaning and hygiene programme has been implemented across the museum and the following visitor guidelines are in place:
- Masks must be worn whilst indoors at the Museum. Please come prepared.
- Thermal scanning is in place upon entry - if you show any symptom of illness, such as a fever (≥37.3℃), coughing or shortness of breath, you will not be allowed to access the museum
- Hand sanitisers are available throughout the museum
- No paper maps or brochures are available at the museum. We encourage visitors to download our free app prior to your visit so you can fully explore our artworks and navigate the museum. Don’t forget your headphones!

What are the museum opening timings?
The museum galleries, temporary exhibitions, Children’s Museum and boutique are open from 10am- 6.30pm Tuesday - Sunday and closed on Mondays.
Last entry with a pre-booked ticket is at 6.00pm. Ticket desk closes at 5.30pm.
You may remain after 6.30pm to enjoy refreshments in one of our cafés, restaurants and bars. Please check the timings on our website.

Will I need to wear a mask and gloves to enter the museum?
As per the government guidelines, all visitors and museum staff are required to wear a mask whilst indoors. Gloves are not required for visitors; however, gloves are available on request if a visitor wishes to wear them.

If access to the museum is denied due to illness, will I able to refund my ticket?
If access is denied due to illness due to COVID-19, you may reschedule your visit or request a refund via our Call Center - [email protected] or call us on 600 565566. Please provide confirmation of a positive test. No refunds are available onsite at the museum.

Is there a time limit to how long I can stay in the museum?
Yes. Once at the museum you may remain for up to 3 hours, during opening hours.

Can I visit the museum with my family?
Visitors can enjoy the museum with their family and children under 13 should be accompanied by an adult at all times.

If I am a member, can I come with more than one guest/with my family?
Members can enjoy the museum with their guests and family. Number of accompanying guests varies according to membership type entitlement.

Locker and cloakroom access?
Cloakrooms are available once your entry ticket has been scanned.

Can I rent a multimedia guide?
In order to maintain health and safety measures, multimedia guides are currently not available for rental.
However, before you arrive at the museum, we recommend that you download our free app to your personal device, to enjoy a complimentary multimedia guide to fully explore our artworks and navigate the museum. Don’t forget your headphones! The guide is available in English, Arabic, French, Mandarin, Russian, German and Hindi. Are there any areas to sit in the museum?
Yes, there are areas to sit within the museum

Are wheelchairs and strollers available to use?
Wheelchairs and strollers are available on request by visitors and are disinfected before and after each use.

Prayer room access?
Yes, prayer rooms are available for use between 12:00pm and 6:30pm. Please use the disposable prayer mats provided and dispose of them in the bins provided as you leave. In line with government guidelines, ablution areas remain closed.

Children’s Museum
Explore our new exhibition ‘Emotions! The new art adventure’ with your kids with three floors of fun experiences to help them explore emotions by playing, listening, drawing or acting. It’s free for children and perfect for families especially with younger children aged 4-10. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Can I book a guided tour?
Yes, 45-minute Express tours are available. The tour explores highlights from the museum collection and is available for a group of up to 25 people from the same family/friendship group. Cost AED 600. These are available daily at 10:30, 12:30, 14:30 and 16:30. Book via the Louvre Abu Dhabi Call Centre, call 600 56 55 66. Audio tours are also available via the multimedia guide on our free app.

Ticket purchases
Will I need to book a ticket online or can I purchase a ticket when I arrive?
We recommend booking your Ticket(s) in advance of your visit on our website. Ticket(s) can also be purchased upon arrival at the museum until 5:30pm.

Can I pay with cash?
Yes, payment in cash is accepted at all museum outlets, including food and beverage sites and the boutique.

Is a ATM machine be available in the museum?
Yes, an ATM machine is available in the ticketing hall.

Is the membership desk open?
Yes, the membership desk is open in the ticketing hall.

F&B, Shop and Kayaking and Yoga

Is Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi restaurant and Bar Marta open?
Both Fouquet’s and Bar Marta are open Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday from 12pm to 12am (last order at 10pm), Thursday, Friday from12pm - 1am (last order at 10.30pm) and are closed on Mondays.

Is the Museum Café open?
The Museum Café is open from 10am to 6:30pm with a la carte dine-in menu and ‘grab and go’ options.

Is the Art Lounge open?
Art Lounge is closed for the summer, reopening in September

Is Aptitude Café open?
Yes, Aptitude café is open and has recently undergone a full renovation and upgrade. The menu now includes a wide selection of breakfast items, hot food, salads and, of course, specialty coffee. Open daily (including Mondays) | 9am to 10pm

Can I book a slot for kayaking?
Yes.Sessions are available every day (except Mondays) for timings and booking click here Participants must be over 6 years of age. Enjoy the museum from the stillness of the Arabic Gulf. Take a tour on a kayak and learn all about Louvre Abu Dhabi’s architecture from a unique perspective.

Can I book a slot for Yoga?
There are no Yoga sessions during the summer, the sessions will resume when the weather permits it. Please check our website for updated information.

Parking and Valet service

Is the valet parking available?
Valet parking for the museum and Fouquet’s is available and the service will follow all government guidelines. Please click here to view the valet parking service disclaimer.

Is there a golf cart (buggy) service to pick-up and drop-off from Fouquet’s to the parking?
Yes, golf cart service is available. For extra protection, the carts have plexiglass screens between the driver and the visitor, and the golf carts are disinfected between each trip.

Is the visitor parking available?
Visitor parking is available.

Does the museum have electric vehicle charging stations?
Currently, the museum does not have an electric vehicle charging station in the visitor car park.

Park access and use

Can I walk around the outside of the museum?
You can walk outside along the Promenade area.

Do you have any toilets outside the museum that can be used?
Public toilets are available outside of the museum near the visitor parking.

Is there a smoking area in the museum?
Smoking is not allowed in the museum; however, there is a designated smoking area outside the museum.

Lost and Found
I lost an item / ID in the museum; how can I check if you found it?

Please contact the call centre at 600565566 and our team will be able to assist you.

How can I collect my item if the museum is closed?
The call centre can advise on how to collect your item from the museum’s security. Collection is possible only once the call centre has confirmed that we have found your item. You will be requested to bring an ID to collect your item.
