Package details:
Core Workshop 1: Discovering Louvre Abu Dhabi (90 minutes)
This introductory session provides you with an insight into the Louvre Abu Dhabi universal narrative. Using artworks in the collection, the Museum Educator will facilitate engaging conversations that foster learning through observation, interpretation, and critical thinking. In the end, you will reflect with your peers on how to apply these dynamic in-gallery techniques in your own classroom.

Core Workshop 2: Learning Beyond the Classroom (90 minutes)
In this workshop, you will explore how the museum space and collection can deepen your teaching methods and enhance the learning experience of your students beyond the classroom. Through interactions and experimentations inside our galleries, you will learn how to incorporate inquiry-based learning techniques into your teaching practice across any subject.

Specialised Workshop (90 minutes)
Choose ONE workshop. These workshops are designed to either broaden your understanding on the elements of identity, to equip you with the necessary tools to independently lead a self-led visit to the museum or to even discover ways that support your students’ social and emotional learning journey in their daily interactions in the classroom.

Specialised Workshop Option 1 – Identity and Local Context
Discover the deep-rooted connection our museum has with its surrounding environment and the other Emirates by exploring the Treasures of the UAE currently on display. You will find out how the museum promotes the same values iterated in the national curriculum and how it champions history, culture, and community through our creative encounters with schools.

Specialised Workshop Option 2 – Museum Learning Tools
Learn about effective museum inquiry and interpretation strategies by using a range of interactive tools. Acquire the skills you need to design engaging activities for your students with objects inside the museum or classroom by experimenting with the current Young Visitor Guides and digital tools at Louvre Abu Dhabi.

Specialised Workshop Option 3 – #MakeandPlay at the Museum
Play is one of the most effective ways to learn. In our early childhood development years, we acquire knowledge about the world around us through play. Participate in a series of #MakeandPlay workshops designed to enrich your students’ learning experience and develop their imagination, experimentation, and observation skills.

Specialised Workshop Option 4 – Reflect and Express
As a mindful museum, we are keen to promote the social, physical, and mental wellbeing of our staff and visitors. Discover how our Reflect and Express sessions use the museum’s artworks to ponder on everyday themes and provide a therapeutic perspective by participating in a multi-sensorial art-making activity that follows the session inside the galleries.

Specialised Workshop Option 5 – Children’s Museum (available until 31 May 2023)
Held at our Children’s Museum, this session will provide you with a variety of methods to effectively support your students’ socio-emotional learning journey. You will discover how engaging with our interactive adventure Emotions! and multi-sensory stations will develop your students’ abilities to identify and constructively express their feelings.
