Adults (aged 16+)
Like to develop your artistic side, look closer at artworks or simply enjoy time reconnecting with, and re-examining the world around you? Then join us for Drawing at the Museum.
Each week a small group will meet with the Museum Educator and start with a 30-minute exploration of an artwork, develop sketching skills and learn about different aspects of drawing.
Explore form and perspective from ancient ceramics and reliefs, learn to define human form, consider light and shade observing the dome and architecture. Roam the galleries with your sketchpad, and share your sketches, observations and discoveries.
Drawing at the Museum allows you to gain a deeper understanding of the artworks and the creative process in a calm and inspiring setting, and be part of the museum’s growing art community.
