Age Range: 6 -12 years old 

Activity Timing: 45 minutes 

Materials: PVA glue, Water, Paintbrush, Tissue paper, Paper, Plants, Scissors, Bowl, Cup, Plastic wrap 

Thinking Questions:

- What patterns do you see?
- What do you think this plate was used for?
- Which country do you think this plate is from? 

Instructions: 

1. Mix the PVA glue with some water.
2. Cover the outside of the bowl with the plastic wrap.
3. Apply the PVA mixture to the outside of the bowl.
4. Cover the outside of the bowl with paper.
5. Place the flowers and leaves on top of the wet paper.
6. Add another layer of paper over the flower design to secure your artwork. 
7. Cover the paper with PVA mixture.
8. Leave to dry.
9. Remove the paper dish from the bowl and peel off the plastic wrap.
10. Remove any ragged edges with scissors.
 
You have made an Iznik inspired dish!
