The Grand Story Continues

Join us as The Grand Story Continues this November, a month-long celebration of Louvre Abu Dhabi’s fifth anniversary

Louvre Abu Dhabi will celebrate its fifth anniversary this November with an unmissable, month-long celebration as The Grand Story Continues (November 4 to December 4, 2022). Recognising the museum’s outstanding achievements in curation, museology, and community engagement, The Grand Story Continues will also showcase the museum's new acquisitions, installations, and its latest blockbuster exhibition, Impressionism: Pathways to Modernity.

One of the largest collections of Impressionism to be exhibited outside France, Impressionism: Pathways to Modernity features 150 pioneering works by artists including Manet, Degas, Monet, Pissarro, Renoir, and Cézanne. Organised in collaboration with the Musée d'Orsay, the exhibition also includes etchings, costumes, film, and photography from the period.

This November, Louvre Abu Dhabi will also launch Icon.Iconic, the second edition of Art Here. Curated to illuminate the extraordinary contemporary art scene across the UAE and GCC, Art Here 2022 will feature the shortlisted artists for the annual US$60,000 Richard Mille Art Prize.

Complimented by a series of special events and a new cultural programme with the community at its heart, The Grand Story Continues also includes an unforgettable array of specially commissioned pop-up events.

A series of landmark performances will complete the celebrations, as Louvre Abu Dhabi Grand Festival presents Majid Al Muhandis (11/11), the Iraqi singer and composer dubbed 'the Engineer of the Arabic song’, the multi-award-winning vocalist John Legend (12/11) and the legendary Egyptian pianist and composer Omar Khairat (13/11).
