Talk: The Eye of the Collector: The Farjam Collection of Islamic and Middle East Art

Join us at Louvre Abu Dhabi for an exclusive talk in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Art and The Farjam Foundation.

This event unveils the highly anticipated 4-volume publication from Yale University Press, showcasing highlights from Masterpieces of Islamic art and Masterpieces of Modern and Contemporary art: the Farjam collection (Yale University Press, 2024).
A panel of world-renowned experts, including Dr. Mariët Westermann, Dr. Nada Shabout, Dr. Sarah Rogers, Dr. Linda Komaroff, Dr. Julian Raby, and is moderated by Dr. Venetia Porter, will discuss   the importance of publishing a private collection in the context of the study of Islamic art and Modern and Contemporary Middle East art; the role of Dr. Farhad Farjam as a collector and the development of his collection.
The talk will also highlight the importance of the collection and publication within a UAE context.
