This week animals depicted in our collection inspire our activities and art challenge. 

Why do artists use animals in art? 

Humans have always represented animals in art, since the Stone Age, people decorated caves with paintings or engravings of animals. Animals in art including still life, mythology, photography and aboriginal art. Many artists have a personal connection with animals and reflect them in their artworks. Animals help us manage stressful situations, encourage us to exercise and give us unconditional love.
