Indulge in a night where art meets gourmet cooking at Louvre Abu Dhabi’s Secret Dinners, an exclusive experience inspired by the masterpieces of the Post-Impressionism: Beyond Appearances exhibition. In collaboration with Barrière Group and the acclaimed Palestinian Chef Tariq Taha—winner of Top Chef All Stars—the evening will reveal a meticulously curated set menu, where each course uses a secret ingredient inspired by the exhibition’s artworks.
With the mesmerizing sounds of internationally renowned Canadian pianist Sanaz Sotoudeh, guests will be transported to the lively world of 19th-century French Guinguettes—the traditional riverside restaurants captured by the Post-Impressionist painters. Sanaz will be playing different pieces for French composers, who were inspired by the Post-Impressionist school artists.
Dine at the Museum Café with a spectacular view of Saadiyat Island’s waters, savouring Mediterranean flavours that celebrate the culinary artistry of Chef Taha, and reflecting the vivid spirit of Van Gogh’s painting, The Mermaid restaurant in Asnières. Before the meal, guests are invited to a special short tour of the exhibition, enriching their journey into the world of Post-Impressionism.

About Chef Tariq Taha
Chef Tareq Taha, a Palestinian chef and culinary artist, has masterfully combined traditional flavors with contemporary techniques. Born and raised in Jerusalem, Taha was nurtured in a home where cooking was a heartfelt form of expression, inspired by his mother’s exceptional cooking and his grandfather’s legacy as a hummus artisan. Taha started his career in pastry at the age of 18 while pursuing a B.A degree in hotel management, despite his passion for art and design, he started following his dream to become a professional chef. Few years later, he shifter to cooking followed by professional cooking and pastry courses in Palestine and France. Throughout his career, he had the opportunity to work alongside renowned Palestinian and international chefs. At the age of 28, Taha got his first job as a head chef. His passion for cooking paired with pastry skills; Taha developed a style of cooking that combines tradition and modernity, highlighting vegetarian and vegan Palestinian dishes.
In 2021, his work was acclaimed after his participation in MENA’s Top Chef where he achieved third place and subsequently triumphed as the winner in 2024 MENA’s Top Chef All Stars. His professional aspirations extends beyond the boundaries of the kitchen, as he strives to establish modern Palestinian cuisine within the international culinary scene.

About pianist Sanaz Sotoudeh
Internationally acclaimed Canadian Pianist, Sanaz Sotoudeh has appeared performances across Europe, North America, and the Middle East. Renowned for her versatility, she has collaborated with well-known musicians, new media artists, and orchestras worldwide. Her artistry has been featured in live performances and interviews on prestigious platforms such as BBC Radio 3 in the UK, Khaleej Times Dubai, Gazette Montreal, and Abu Dhabi TV.
Sanaz Sotoudeh has worked with Daniel Barenboim’s ‘West-Eastern Divan Orchestra’ and has appeared in recitals at renowned venues like Dubai Opera, Wasl Dome at COP 28 United National, Theatre of Digital Arts Dubai, Steinway Hall UAE, and the Abu Dhabi Music Festival. Notable appearances also include performances with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra Virée Classique Festival, Immersive performance at Vancouver Art Gellery, Vancouver Opera Orchestra, NYU Abu Dhabi Art Center, and collaborations with Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal and the Red Bull Music Festival UAE. She has completed her studies in solo piano performance at McGill University in Canada and the Royal Academy of Music in the UK on full scholarships. And has been invited as an artist in residence at the Banff Center for Arts & Creativity and Orford Musique, as well as participating in prestigious programs like the Franz-Schubert Institute in Austria and Académie Francis Poulenc in France. Grateful for the support of organizations such as the Cork Awards, Kathleen Trust, and the Canada Council for the Arts, she continues to push boundaries in her artistic pursuits.
Currently, Sanaz Sotoudeh serves as a full-time faculty in Communication, Arts, and Sciences at Canadian University Dubai, where she also collaborates with UNESCO to advance the performing arts scene in the UAE. Through her initiatives, she has fostered a vibrant cultural and performing arts community at the university, working closely with various cultural organizations and embassies in the UAE.
